Apostle Tammy Carter is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Tabernacle of Power Ministries in Tappahannock, Virginia. A devoted Apostle, Pastor, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher, Conference Speaker, Mentor, and Author, Apostle Tammy’s transformative journey with Christ began in June of 1989 in an FBI lunchroom, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

A native of Westmoreland County, Virginia, Apostle Tammy was born and raised in the region before relocating to Maryland in 1991. In 1999, she fully embraced her call to ministry and returned to Westmoreland County to pursue the work God had placed in her hands. She attended Alpha Bible College in Champlain, Virginia, and was licensed and ordained under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Donn R. Hall at Zion Baptist Church, Tucker Hill, Virginia. Under his covering, she was trained in discipline, humility, and obedience—values that remain the foundation of her ministry today.

  • Apostle Tammy is widely recognized for her dynamic, practical, and revelatory teaching style, helping believers apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. She and her husband, Earl Carter Jr., together founded The Tabernacle of Power Ministries (The TOP)—a ministry dedicated to serving God’s people through love, discipleship, and preparation for Jesus’ return.

  • She is also the Founder and Executive Director of The Generation That Will Obey Outreach Services (TGTWO-OS), a nonprofit organization focused on community outreach, mentorship for young men and women, social services, and food distribution. Apostle Tammy is the visionary behind Tammy Carter Ministries, where she has hosted conferences, launched a publishing company, and authored her first book, It’s Not Your Fault. With a deep passion for writing, she is currently working on her next literary project.

  • Beyond ministry, she is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Earl share a blended family of five biological children and four bonus children, and she is affectionately known as “MA” to countless others. Through her preaching, teaching, outreach, and authorship, Apostle Tammy continues to fulfill her God-given mandate—equipping, empowering, and leading souls into Kingdom purpose.
